Invest in Yourself
In addition to preparing for the holiday season, I hope everyone in professional sales has taken some time to plan and prepare for a new fiscal year. Tis the season for developing a new business to ensure you achieve your goals.
Part of your planning should include determining what you will do, on an individual level, to enhance your skills as a sales professional. Now is a good time to research upcoming conferences, class, or other events that would allow you to network with likeminded professionals and expand your reach.
It is also a good time to consider what particular skills you want to develop or sharpen. Look to videos, books, and other resources that can help you get better.
Don’t rely on your company to provide you with the necessary training and development you need. While many do a fine job, there are others who fail in this regard. Take the time to invest in yourself. It is one of the best investments you can make.
